amp for solo x

i'm new at using 2 amps on one speaker. Is it damaging to the speaker? what about the gains how do i have them at the same level. is the option on minimal or max gain to keep it even?
The gains would have to be identical ... which is why I usually don't suggest running an amp per coil.

what would you think about running the tsunami 1100 for a .75 ohm speaker (13w7). Will it have problems? Cause Orion kind of shuts off at high bass. will tsunami do the same?
I don't know ... I haven't run the 1100d under 1ohm, yet. You may yield some problems. I suggest you e-mail eD tech and see what they have to say, or call them for a quicker response.

Remember, you need a solid electrical system to back everything up.

What if i'm running an 8 gauge power wire from battery to amp, can that cause the amp to shut off? I'm just soo lazy to redo the power wire its a pain in the azz to run it through. But if it's the problem then i'm willing to do it .

You could just attach the new power wire to the old stuff and just pull it from the engine part. It might work might get snagged on something but you never know.

Well the solo x is going to be going in a 2000 pontiac bonneville. I am thinking of getting the dual 2 ohm but I dont know for sure yet, I gotta sell my dirtbike then i can make the decisions. I want **** good power so I can compete in spl comps. Where is a good place in mid MN that is cheap that does a really high quality install job? I have gone to Teckla and M&M car audio, they both seem expensive but I am not sure fi that is average pricing or not.
