Twisted sounds 1.8kw amp is on sale for 325... Identical to the synergy wo15. Built in the zenon house...

I just picked mine up today and installed it sounds amazing on my x8's 2cu at 33hz lol unbelievable lows

Budget? US Acoustics mike. If not on a tight budget, DD m1, IA 10.1.

Don't know anything about Twisted sounds, but the 1.8 is nothing short of overkill.

The 1.3 would be more than adequate.

PPi P1000.1 would be a good fit.

Probably, but what will be gained?

A barely audible (at best) increase in output. Maybe a slight improvement in SQ. A significantly higher possibility of damage. Much more electrical system stress.

The overpower everything trend is dumb.

If it's truly overpowering, then I'm with you. However, there are many factors that contribute to the coil seeing much less power than what the amp is rated. All in, having an amp rated above sub(s) ratings evens things out.

That assumes quality mfg's don't assign power ratings with any of those factors in mind.

I would rather just listen to music than swap out blown stuff every other week trying to squeak every last tenth of a dB out of it.

Agreed, no one wants to do that. Then again, you can really blow anything with stupidity. By the same token, you can make this work as well - common sense will save the day.

US Acoustics Mike, Synergy 1500, Powerbass ASA3-1500.1d, Crescendo symphony 1500. All those are pretty similarly priced and should get you where you want to be.

That crescendo symphony looks right up my alley. Small footprint too!! You think it would be too much for the sa 8's?
