ok i have decided to get one of these three comp sets, im still trying to decided, but i am going to order the amp online and was wondering which of these amps would be best for any of the three i decide on:

comps

jl xr650

boston acoustin pro 6.5

infinity perfect6.1

amps

orion 3002 or 4002

I-450 - Zapco iForce Series 4 Ch. 360 Watt Amplifier - looking at that because i might go with rear fill down the line

I-250 - Zapco iForce Series 2 Ch. 200 Watt Amplifier - if i stick with frontstage

sorry im all over the place on my choices but i have heard them all , on diffrent amps, but loved them all. I will most likely end up buying the amp online but buy the comps at the dealer for the warranty so i will end up going with the set that best fits my budget (300-400). tia

LOL. Were they, umm... loud?
Slightly //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif Actually, insanely //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif Just the comps (no subs) could literally make your ears pop from sheer output levels. You could hear them from ~2 blocks away. With my car windows down, you could hear them clear as day (highs and midbass) in the 2nd floor of my house, with my car parked behind my garage ~30ft away //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

400 watts per side??? What did you have them x-over at? Would that not rip them apart?
Xover point was ~63hz IIRC (this was about 2 years ago). Nope, actually they handled it like a champ //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/thumbsupwink.gif.129404938effda6ad9cca39e7f4b58a3.gif If I boosted the high end too much the tweets would get a little smelly.....but if I kept the boost levels under control, it was awesome.

And really, 400w/side was @ 4ohm, and the Pro's are rated 3ohm.....so it was probably closer to 500w or thereabouts.

bostons are the opitomy of the word solid when it comes to speakers. there isnt a bad choice amung the speaker set you chose though . i wouldnt run the bostons under 150 rms a side though
