amp for 8 6.5s?

You running a ppi 800.4? I'm sure the the 600.2 is stronger. I just don't believe that amp would push 8 speakers rated for 75w each which is 600. Just please tell me what I'm doing so wrong.... Just cause its not the way you'll do it don't mean it wrong....my plans call for as many speakers as I can get. So one amp is out of the question.....would love 8 speakers on each door but I'll start with 3-4

You have 2 sets already. You plan on buying 2 more sets at $70 a set. Thats $140 PPI600.2 is $124 each. $388. You can get pro audio mids, tweets, and amp for that, be louder, and not having 10 speakers sprawled out everywhere and 3 amps..

ppi 600.2 would do 300x2 at 2ohms

Mine bridged to 2 channels is rated 400x2 @ 4ohms.

Adding more and more speakers doesn't mean better. Its like running 6 boss $40 12" s.

Im not running 10 speakers and 3 amps because its not needed and a waste of time and money. I didnt need my 6 mids and 4 super tweeters. I have the gains down really low and it plenty loud with a loud substage.

It's loud for you it might sound like sh.... For to my ears....are you saying there's a limit to loudest and you reached it with your set up ......it don't matter what speakers or amp I run my set up it going to have at least 12 speakers along with the 4 tweets I already have in my vents....you can talk all day but you can't change a person plans or set up becuase you don't think it will work cause I can assure it will. There's a reason people have 10+ speakers on each door....it's louder then running 8

And about the ppi 800.4 your right I thinking of one the the newer ones which Im worried about getting. I asked about the ppi ba1600.4 which is a 800 watt amp and know one said anything. But the are any goo I still would get 2 and run 8 off each one for 16 total...

quality not quantity. You need high sensitivity speakers. Pro audio does not sound like sh*t when done right. Hell, pro audio mids sound even better then my jbl ms62c mids. However you need a proper head unit though, put them on a cheap head unit and you'll get cheap sound. I guarantee you 8 coaxials would not even come close to being as loud and good sounding as 4 pro audio mids and 2 supertweets set up properly. I've seen too many guys get showed up at competitions trying to rock their coaxials. Other guys do it cheaper and sound a lot nicer/clearer meanwhile keeping up with waaay louder bass. With that much coaxials you also would have a hard time controlling the harshness of the tweeters since its a tiny built in crossover. Will definitely be overly harsh and bright.

Another comparison i can make is a single 6.5 db drive 8 ohm pro audio driver got louder then my 5.1 onkyo system combined on home reciever power and sounded nice and clear, not even the least bit peaky. Sensitivity and efficiency is something you cannot overlook.

i'd save some money and put it in a good head unit like an 80 prs. Sounds strange but you'll sound a lot better AND get a lot louder, best upgrade i've done in the whole system. It makes sh*tty speakers sound good, good speakers sound great and great speakers sound phenomenal. Grab and 80 prs and some pro audio drivers with supertweets, ran Active, and you'll be extremely happy with how loud and great sounding you'll get.

Well thanks for the info.... These pro audio speakers tried looking for them can cant find them could I get link... The thing is I stink have these 2 pair of sonys I spent $70 a set so I would still be using them...I know it would get crazy but I'm shooting to the wow factor that's the main reason I went and got myself an 18 inch sub.... But I will look at the pro audio and see what I can come up with and I ll run the ppi 900.4 for 4 sonys and 4 pros if I get them

you can sell those sonys or just use them for rear fill no need to buy another matching pair.

Pro Audio

Here's some good pro audio and super tweets set. pretty much 100 dollars for 2 PA mids and 2 super tweets. then the rest on more pa mids. you only need 2-4 super tweets, anymore will seriously hurt/damage your ears and the passengers of the cars driving next to yours.

If you are going for cone area, why not just do 8" or 10 inch speakers? You'll get a lot more midbass out of it and it'll be overall cheaper a lot of competitors use 10" pro audios in their doors to get that chest kick midbass and the lower deep male vocals.

one of the cheaper 10s.

SKAR Audio FSX-10 S4 (fsx10s4) 150W RMS 10" FSX Series 4 Ohm Mid

On the CHEAPER side:

Despite the reputation that pyle has, these pro audio of theirs are actually not bad, they are just like all the other off the shelf pro audio mids. Clear loud and Hella Cheap. These are 8 ohms so you can pretty much wire 8 of them to the two front channel of your ppi p900(2 ohm final impedance for each channel) and use the crossovers on that amp to cross them over around 3000-5000hz then use the rears to power the tweets and cross them over to pick up where you left off on the mids or if you feel there's a peaky or harsh part like in the 6k hz area, you can cross the tweeters up to 7k hz and it'll smooth out that peak in the 6k hz area. However if you have a good SQ head unit, most likely you wont have this problem at all.

Pyle PDBT18 Bullet Horn Tweeter Pair

Dont be afraid of the power ratings. You can give these speakers 25 watts and they will still scream. Hence the magic of sensitivity.

One of our members tried these pyles for his application and loved them, he was surprised at the sound quality for it being pyle lol.

Also when you install them, make sure they are all in their sealed off in their own chambers or else you'll have phasing issues if you just have an infinite baffle setup with all those speakers fighting against eachother.

Man thanks I never what pro audio was it makes sense now....and for the Pyle tweets I already have that model. I have 3 set 2 are in my vents facing me....so how does this sound 8 8in mids and the 2 pair of sonys on the ppi 900.4 or mb quart and put my tweets on the 2 ch amp I have now

Hey would there be a problem with power if I ran 8 125watt speakers on 2 ch. at 225watt each.... I could find some that are 4 ohms run 8 of them on a 4 ch amp like the mb quart then run the tweets and sonys on another 4 ch amp....going with the mb quart at about $100 Each....so only thing I would have to buy is the pa speakers and 2 amps
