Amp for 2 Sundown e8v3's?

What would be a good amp for 2 Sundown e8v3's dual 2ohms? I have a budget of $200. Would I be able to run my current amp, which is a Hifonics hfi1000.1d? Thanks for the input.

You would be able to run your current amp at 2 ohm with those subs but you would be under powering them. Otherwise you would want an amp that does 6 to 800 watts at 2 ohm. I have an mtx thunder 7402 thats underrated at 600 at 2 but ive goten close to 800 out of it. 100 plus shipping.

My amp does 750 at two ohms. I know the sa's series can take a beating but I didn't know if the e series could. Thanks for the input.

I wouldnt asume it will do rated but if I were you I would use the one you got and tune it to 600. I have one on 500 and its workin amazingly. This woofer from what I read fromjacob owner of sundown is that its basicly an sa8 v1 that has a shorer coil

I ran my first 2 on my Ab ph4000 @1ohm Gained for about 1200rms and they never misbehaved or even got smelly. Coils are still golden. I just bought 4 more d2s to run on a Sundown Saz1500.

Just be careful not to clip them to death, that HiFi isnt the best about putting out clean power. Keep an eye in the classy section for a Good Quality 1000rms amp, sometimes see alpines and jbls for under ur 200dollar budget.

Edit* Even a Kicker zx750.1 would be a great match considerin ur using dual 2s
