Amp for (2) 12.1 Infinity Kappas

hi all,

i'm putting together my first system... i just bought 2 infinity kappa perfect 12.1's and i'm still deciding on which amplifier to get. should i get an infinity 611a, will it have enough power? my budget's pretty tight for an amp (although i'll buy in on ebay most likely). also... wiring and everything - what exactly do i need? should i just buy an amp wiring kit? (i'm most likely going to have someone install it)

if anyone can help me it would be greatly appreciated. oh and if someone needs it my car is a 2005 lancer es... thanks in advance.

dont get the infinity amp. I just got rid of mine due the low damping factor wich made the subs transition make so much muddy. So all in all they dont sound good but as far as the subs good choice //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

thanks for the replies, good to know about the 611a. i was doing some more searching through the forums and found an amp someone recommended a kenwood kac-9102d.. here's the specs

850 watts RMS @ 2 ohms

2 Ohm stable

500 watts RMS @ 4 ohms

anyone have an opinion on this one? or just other suggestions on what i should go with? thanks.

Sorry, double posting, but...

I think i've decided on:

-Alpine MRP-M650 Amp [Link]

400 watts RMS x 1 at 4 ohms (600 watts RMS x 1 at 2 ohms)

-EFX 4 Gauge Amp Wiring Kit [Link]

-3/4 MDF sealed enclosure 1.25 cubic ft per chamber (buy it on ebay... i don't really think i have the tools nor skills to build my own box) [Link]

I currently have:

-Alpine CDA-9855

-Infinity 6012si for rear

-Boston Acoustics SX65 for front

-2 12.1 Infinity Kappa Perfects SVC

So with the amp I should be sending 300w @ 2ohms to each sub correct? If something I put on here is just illogical or stupid please let me know... or if you just have comments/suggestions. Since this is my first build i want it to work nicely and not completely screw up. Thanks.
