Amp for 12' Type R sub??? 1500w, 500 RMS.

In need of some help! not too clued up on the audio side of car builds as i do the mechanics and body work, but was wondering what amp would be good for my Alpine Type R sub with 500 rms??? doesnt have to be specific just some info on what i might need. also its 2 coil 4 ohm.

I suspect if you actually live in UK you will be limited to what brands can be had there or pay punishing taxes and shipping to order from USA. That being said, nothing jumps out at me as 500W into 2 ohm.

Best method would be to let us know what you have access to and people here will tell you whether it is junk or worthwhile.

i have used these voodoo amps.. there decent at best, well worth there price.. it will do a solid 600-700rms x1@2 ohm... they get hot and cant run 1ohm.. but if you need cheap 2ohm power that amp will be decent..

Any amp that does around 500 WRMS or a little over will be fine.
