no budget really - i'd like the cheapest amp that would get the job done without any flaws and wont randomly die on me or blow my sub. if i need to fully power the sub with all 1000 rms then so be it but i just want to know what route i need to go.
you don't need 1000wrms but would get one anyway... the headroom is nice... also just go with something decent but not anything to cheap and just don't go insane on the volume and set your gains good
Yeah I know that much I just meant I've never really understood how impedance affects sound. Does it sound nicer to have 800W RMS at 4 ohms or 800W at 2 ohms? Ive heard it sounds "thinner" at less impedance.
You have one of the best subs on the planet and you want the cheapest amp the get the job done? Doesn't seem logical to me. I am not saying you need Zapco so don't anyone go there, but buy a GOOD amp from a reputible company and please don't "just get by"
