Alpine M850 or M650 for single 12" Type-R?

I'm putting a 12" Type R dual 4 Ohm in the back of my Tahoe in a ported box and was wondering whether i should go with the M850 wired at 800 x 1 @ 2ohms or just get the M650 at 600 watts RMS x 1 at 2 ohms. Is the 850 overkill? or is the 650 not going to be powerful enough? Price being no object.

People run 1500 watts all day conservatively to their type R's, you could pretty much double the M650's rms and throw that at the Type R, it would love it.

850 watts would get it loud though.
