Amp for 05 xxx, Help me decide

So i'm going to be running a 12" 05 xxx and need your guys inputs on a few amps that i have chosen.

IA 20.1

Sundown 1500d

Lanzar opti 2000d

i know the rms on the xxx is 1600 watts, but i don't know how much power they like. I'm going to have the proper electrical for whichever amp i choose also. If anyone has run this sub and have any better choices than the ones i listed let me know

and budget on the amp?

if youve got money to spend and want the customer service, sundown is the way to go

if you want to save some dough on a comparable amp then the OPTI is an excellent choice

not really any kind of budget i'm kinda just going to save up over time and buy one

well your only gonna get the power you need out of the OPTI at .5 so that takes it out of the running

id go with the sundown if it were me, the 20.1 is a great amp as well but ive been more than impressed with sundown's Customer Service

Thanks for the info. I was thinking about going with the sundown also but didn't know if it would be enough power

you could go with the sundowns. since your running 2 i'm sure it'll have suffecient power.

when i ran my single 15 xxx on a 1500d i felt that the speaker wanted more. i ran a pca200d on it and the switch between the 2 was very noticable. which is why i say a single sub on a single amp felt like it wanted more.

edit: i thought you were running 2. nevermind that part. though i'll stick to the word, the 1500d will be enough, but imo, could use a little more power.

allright, and db-r electronics has refurbished 1500d's for a pretty good price so i'll probably just go with that

yeah i was thinking they needed more power too, but i'm not sure since i've never used one before

well initially you'll be fine with it running the 1500d. my problem was i pretty much downgraded in power. i went from the pca200d down to the 1500d. there was a significant loss of power and output. which is why to me, the 1500d is enough but could use a little more.

Well from recent experience my 20.1 drove that sub way better than the sundown 1500d i had it on. It did seem to want more while on my 1500d. I did a direct swap with my amps and there was a real difference. I loved both those amps but with this particular sub it seemed to do much better on a 20.1. But you really cant go wrong either way.

ive got mine on a saz1500. it sounds pretty good. i dont personally think it needs more but everyones different.

Ive got mine at 2000W off a RF T2001BD and t sounds very nice
