Amp decreases output when volume is high

Put some water on the white stuff and see if it turns blue.

Well I thought it was the optima but turned out it passed the test - it's definitely this CCA, I trimmed 2 inches and it was all white powder

Yeah, don't use CCA. So the battery charged back up fine?
Yeah the battery was fine and it was that CCA at the battery post got all white powder about 2" inside of the cables pvc jacket. I learned a lot about CCA today. It's garbage i was thinking it could be my amp or HU and I was going nuts thinking about all the work I

Might have to do but luckily it was noticed. I'll tell you all this , if your using CCA it's not even visible. Take off the connections and inspect real closely , a lot of it is inside the cable and out of sight. It was loaded with powder about 2" or more into cable dropped my voltage to 2 volts at the fuse. Live and learn ..

Well that's good. Had to go eat at Olive Garden...Fathers Day.

So sounds like it didn't take long to figure out the issue. Sounds like the battery is alright then. It was the corroded CCA making you think the battery was bad, hence corrosion=bad reading.
