amp damage from wreck

so I fk'ed my truck up, this was mounted to my battery box which wasn't bolted down at the time, so when i went upside down the batteries fell out of the box and the ground was still connected to the amp, which was mounted on the battery box and pulled the wire out of the ring terminal.

but, in doing so, it broke the board where the ground connects and bent the terminal on the amp.

i haven't tested the amp since, but this is the only visible damage. i haven't dived into taking the board out of the amp to check it, but there's a small crack in the board next to the ground ... well, you can see in the pics.

think the amp is shot? or i should give it 24v and see how these memphis amps really hold up ... i've got a 3 year warranty (bought new from dealer), with a $10 exchange for new amp (i'll wait for the memphis hybrids to show up at the dealer before i do this though //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/veryhappy.gif.fec4fed33b4a1279cf10bdd45a039dae.gif).

It could be fixed.As far as warrenty that my be different.The damage was caused by neglagance on your part not anything that the amp did.You may have a hard time getting that exchanged.

Unless your insurance company pays (or whoever was at fault's insurance company) chances are your warrenty is null in this case

I'm not too worried about the warranty, the battery box stayed where it should have be (fit VERY snug between wheel wells / seat) but the batteries came out of their nice little metal cases (Stinger SPV70's)

just wondering if i should even test this, or if it's a fire-hazard waiting to happen.

ps: any way to test an amp off a spare battery? no h/u ... just want to see if it powers on.

Just turn that shit into the insurance and get a new one.o since in een messing with it.But if you really must.Hook up the power and ground from a seperate battery then take a piece of jumper wire and connect that from the remote terminal to the power wire and it should come on.

Well you could hook up ground and +12 and run +12 to the Remote Line as the "turn on" Voltage

it goes into protect for a second, then green light comes on -- so, i'll have to do some in-car testing to see if it's still working. but, it powers on without a hitch.

ty for help, i didn't know if 12v would fry the remote or not.
