Amp Cutting out! HELP!!

Okay, so i have had two Audiopipe amps, i had an APSM-1300 for about 2 months, and i just bought an APSM-1500! I love both of them! I know they might be dirty power and everything, but i am a 15 year old kid, so I really don't have that much money to spend on top of the line stuff! I have had a problem of the amp cutting out at volume 15. After that, the subs get quiet, and the speakers stay the same. The subs do get louder after 15, but when i get the subs to pound again, the speakers and tweeters start to distort. I am thinking it might be the ground for the amp? I'm not sure, i have been messing with my head unit settings, and nothing has seemed to work. I have $1000 invested into my project and Its pissing me off that my stuff wont perform the way i want it to! So I am really hoping it may just be the ground! But any help is appreciated! THANKS!

Check your wiring, what type of head unit?

turn gain and bass boost down, eq to flat on your headunit..... charge your batt

I have an Alpine CDE-141. And I will try all of that! I dont think I have the bass boost on, but I will check! But I do have a bass boost knob, do you think that has anything to do with it??

yeah turn it all down/off........ also subsonic filter thingo, whats that set too? and set your lpf to 80hz

Okay! Wait what about the bass boost knob, i love using it, but if thats the prob then im gunna get rid of it! I guess i will just unplug it, try, then see if it cuts out!

*shakes head* check and redo everything I said..... worth a try, remember to turn it down first befor you unplug it.

double check your grounds. make sure your power and rca wires are separated from each other. turn everything down. if you want to know how to properly tune an amp to your headunit, let me know. also it wouldnt hurt to do the big 3 upgrade (if you havent already)

I have been trying to tune my amp and deck. But i cant seem to get them to work together! But I do plan on getting a 4 farad cap when i get a little extra money! I am in school, but right after I will be trying all the other stuff.

im in school also haha. but do not waste your time on a capacitor! they are not worth it. it has to be something with your wiring...
