I will be getting some 4 inch Polk dxi400 speakers put in soon along with the Alpine MRP F300. I was curious to know what should I set the High Pass Filter to? I was told that it wouldn't be a good idea to try and get any bass out of the speakers and that I should set the HPF to about 400hz. Is this correct, or are there any other suggestions out there? Thanks!

i have the mrp f300 i have JBL GTO608c Components in front and a sub bridged, if u have a sub, i would set the polks to HPF and then set the rears to LPF and i use bass boost b/c i only have a 10" sub.

Depends. What speakers are in your car altogether.

At high volume levels I wouldn't run them under 400. 300 probably the lowest depending on Howe your going to dive them.

I am putting the Polk dxi400 speakers in all 4 of my doors on my 1996 Toyota Avalon. I am also getting a mono amp and a 10 inch sub put in, so I'm really just trying to get some ideas on a crossover set up for my system.

Getting a good voltage reading does not mean good power transfer. You could read 13.8v out of a 24 AWG wire. Recheck your amplifier's ground and...

No need to bypass the amp. Most use an LOC that takes the full amped signal and turns it into a flat RCA level signal. Here is the newest I have...
