amp cooling box

I don't mean to sound like I'm insulting you but you know that you can get amps with fans already in them, right....A high dollor audiobahn I saw earlier had two on the top....There really is no reason you should need a box made just to keep you amp cool....What kind of amp is it?

Adam

I know you can buy self-cooling amps. but I already bought a phoenix gold xs2500 a couple years ago. and I have no reason to replace it. the box is more for security purposes. i own a standard '92 rodeo that doesnt have power locks or anything special. it is very easy car to break into. my original idea was to make kind of a cover-type box where I can bolt the amp down in my trunk, then bolt down the cover over the top of it. kind of a double wammy if someone is going to try and jack it. i just need something to cool down the amp when its covered up. i just wanted to know how the fans work and if it would be possible to build something like this.
