Amp clam test leaving me with questions.

Anybody correct me, but cant a .7 be wired parallel to get .35 or so, then with box rise will be near 1 ohm.

Well para wiring halfs the load so yeah. a dvc .7 wired + to + and - to - will be around .35.

Depends on sub. Was it meant to be in a large or small box?

a sub like the tantric hdd 15. would it be better putting them in a huge enclosure (9cuft per sub) or the company recommended enclosure size.

If its a wall the whole box if done correctly should be open in the inside with 2 ports so box rise wont be much compared to a smaller single sub box with more pressure inside.

if i am using two amps, one for each sub you still recommend using one large enclosure for the subs. i can get about 18.5-19.5cuft but need to make two different enclosures. so just one port rather than the two? if i am using for daily and spl you think i should use aero ports instead?

I highly doubt you will need that much space unless your doing 5+ subs.

If you have more power then needed to over power the subs then just make a box near recommended size or smaller.

For your subs exact id look around. But in general if you have enough power you want to go smaller not only for spl, but to keep box rise more stable.

On 12v it only gives a series. And a parallel/series wiring.

So you have two subs, dual .7ohm coils each? You're either wired to .7ohms or 2.8ohms.

Just to clarify here are my options. Keep the .7 ohm dual voice coils. Wire them down. Which I found searching would equal .175ohm load.

Secondly. Dual 1.4ohm recones and wire down to a .5ohm load. Or lower what ever it comes out to. Also could just rebuild the box. Again... Which I'm trying to avoid. My question is with box rise. Mine being at 1.5 ohm. With a .175 ohm load. Will the amp be ok? Will it be registering the fact that I'm at .175. Or at 1.6 ohm? I don't want to hook it up and see smoke coming from my investments.

Also if you had the choice what would you do in my case. Money is tight at the moment. So I'm not trying to spend a bunch fixing this issue.

Lol, you'll never get the amp out of protect wiring to .175. Don't do that.

Wire to .7 with what you have, don't worry about rise, especially on music.
