NooB!
Well guys, I got my Fisher Customs Box and everything in and when I put my amp back in with nothing changed, it blew the fuse. So I ordered more fuses and thought maybe I didn't have the ground in all the way or something. We then dropped my friends Hifonics 1606 amp in for an hour or so and it worked perfectly and pushed my Mag fine.

I got the fuses today and when I hooked up the Rockford I made sure everything was in all the way and that nothing was touching. Gain was all the way down and volume in car was all the way down. I turn on the key and then I hear a POP, I turn off the car. Go back and I see a little smoke - and can't get the amp to power on again. I don't have any idea what happened as I made sure to hook everything up good and my friends amp works fine in my car //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif.

Here's the pics. What are my options guys!? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crying.gif.ec0ebefe590df0251476573bc49e46d8.gif

Thanks

EDIT: I realize that I spelled burnt wrong. I was in a rush.

There wasn't a short the second time when it blew. And the first time I don't really think there was either, I just am falling back on that because I am at a loss. Is it expensive/worth it to fix?

I have a soddereing iron and everything, would it be hard to fix?

To make sure you don't blow another soon, I'd replace all of the fets. Alot of times when one blows it weakens the others.

It isn't that hard to do, just don't get sauter all over the board. ALl you need is the right fets, and you should be good.

usually when your fets blow, something else goes with it. could be a diode, resistor, but you should leave it to a professinal

if you are asking if it is hard to fix then you have no clue how to fix them and i wouldnt try your hand cause 99.9/100 times you will fail

I had to ask as I wasn't sure. How much does it normally run to get something like this fixed? How long would I be without an amp?
