amp bridging

I recently purchased a planet audio 600 watt 4-channel amp and two 6100 series 10'' eclipse subwoofers that are 300 watts dual voice coil 4 ohm subs.

I was told that i purchased a crappy amp but i'm a broke high school kid. I was also told i need to bridge my amp into 2 channels, whats the best way for me to do that and wire my subs.

thanks, sawyer

So, if the sticker on the amp said it was 1000w x 2, would you beleive it? Your only option in this case is to use the amp in 3 channel mode. Use the front of the amp to drive the front speakers in your ride, use the other two channels bridged for their maximum output. Wire the 2 dvc 4 ohm subs in a series / parallel circuit for a safe load for the amp to drive. Here is a link for the wiring, you want option 2.

everyone else says they are pretty close to what they say. why wont it be good if the subs are 300 rms and the amp is 300 x2 at 4 ohms. should i have gotten a class d amp

If you had a way to wire your subs to where they presented a 4 Ohm load to those bridged amp channels you'd be gold.

A Dual 4 Ohm subwoofer can be wired to 2 Ohms or 8 Ohms by itself. No other options are available. See the problem here?

Isn't that what several other people including myself have told you? Not trying to be an *** here but multiple times you have been given the same information and you stubbornly refuse to pay attention because (I assume) it isn't what you want to hear (read).

Here are your options for wiring a single DVC 4 Ohm driver....

Wired with the coils in parallel:

Wired with the coils in series:

Those are the only wiring options available excepting using a single amp channel per coil and that inandofitself is problematic with a novice knowledge level.
