after work tonight i went outside in tha parking lot and my friend told me his boy has a louder system than me...ok, so i wanted to here it. lincoln nav with 4 15" L7s walled running off 2 kicker 2500s. it was louder, but not by a whole lot. i asked the kid what amps he had and all he could tell me was the price of them and that they were "hidden" lol. i understand that i def dont have the loudest stereo, i really dont even try, but it REALLY pisses me off when the person that has a louder setup than me dont know shit about what hes got. i been thinking about adding more to mine anyways, and now after this i think i might do it. but they only way i see possible to throw 2 more l7s into my small *** hatch is to wall it. im hopeing i can just run my merlin down to .5ohms (i heard it takes it no prob...flakko, some input would be helpful //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif ), so i hope i dont need to get another amp. but ive never walled off a vehicle before and im not quite sure how your supposed to go about making the wall...i mean making one the width and height of the vehicle and getting it INTO the car. any tips on an install like this would be helpful. thanx

how do u do that if the piece your cutting from it larger than the vehicle?

Make all the pieces out of cardboard first to insure they will fit into the car as seperate pieces, and to insure they are big as possible. Trace that onto wood and cut it out. Taking the seats out might be necessary.

you dont cut the sheet of MDF inside your vehicle!

i would think it would fit into my blazer better through the hatch rather than the front door with the seats out, but either way, both holes are smaller than the actual size id need. is it generally a real ***** to get it in?

Well you can slide them in diagonally. I thought you had a car since you said hatch and thought your would need to take the seats out.

ok i hope i dont need to take the seats out. what about the rest? should i cut the headliner and panels and shit? what should i do about the windows? it would be nice to be able to restore my truck back to stock if i decided to ever sell it (although i doubt its possible if i wall)

you can always tint the windows really dark double 5% FTW... don't paint them... i know people that just paint them black, thats cool but if you ever decided to go back to pre-wall status your gonna kinda be a lil screwed

oh well i was under the impression the the ENTIRE hatch would be the enclosure. i didnt know it was simply a box with a wall on it. but thats cool, better for me. wonder if i can somehow stuff one behind the rear seats (dont really wanna give em up), ill look tomorrow. im off to bed. thanx guys.
