I am running a pioneer deh 1300 deck, a pioneer x 352 amp at 200 watts, and a pionner 12 " impp sub from last year at 450 watts....will this amp blow my sub because I think it just happened....if not any ideas..
wow, you have the exact same system as me, except I was running a kenwood 600w, (kac-7295), ironically enough I blew the amp over winter (I took the sub out for winter and the amp somehow blew)
I don;t know much about stereo equip but I think my amp was more powerful and my sub never blew so I don't know?
Do you happin to know if 200w bridgable is good enough to power the impp? (Im looking for a new amp)
No the amp will not blow your sub unless you have the gains set to incorrect levels. If that is the case, then you, not your amp, are at fault. It is more difficult than most people think to blow a subwoofer. If the gains are set correctly, it often takes far more watts to fry the voice coils than what the subwoofer claims.
