Amp and Sub Help

well i couldnt get it to work like that so i just gave up and hooked it up to how i had it (one amp using both channels) and i had the back seat lying down and i looked back and i saw it catch fire and stopped working, so i gave up and took it out. I dont really feel like hooking the other one up and having it do the same thing and catch my car on fire lol, so ill sell the one sub to this one kid who's been trying to tell me how good the woofers are lol, so ill make a little profit, and then ill buy a new subwoofer. I know the lanzar amp isnt very good, but will it still have enough power if i bought a better subwoofer?
