Hi everyone i have a quick question i have a mtx blue thunder pro amp briged at 200w (Dinamic Power) X 2 at 4 ohms @14.4 volts i can also run it at 100w X 2 at 4 ohms @12.5 volts

and i have a rockford fosgate 300w 12" 8 ohm sub woofer i was wondering thogh the ohmage is different wll either of these setups work without burning anything up? what will the results be? will the speaker have more power or will it burn the amp up? or will the speaker have less power?

ok thankx so to e shure the amp sub will be louder than normal with less ohmage going to it? is that whats happeneing less ohmage going to the sub?

with dynamic power ratings at 200x2 at 4 ohms -- knowing MTX that's probably a 100x2 @ 4 amp (rms), which translates to something around 200x2 at 2 ohms, OR 400x1 bridged into 4 ohms. Since you have an 8 ohm speaker that 400w will be cut in half so it will see 200w.

There should be a simple indication near the speaker terminals that shows which (+)/(-) to use to bridge it.

ok thanks n2audio thats exactly the kind of response i was hoping to see you awnsered my question perfictly, i guess it should be a good setup cus my sub is 200w peak rms at 8 ohms

Thanks again n2audio

Peak and RMS are not the same. if you run 200w RMS to a 200w peak sub, you'll likely fry the coil.
