amp 300ish over sub rms

Im a noob to car audio and from searching about amp rms over sub rms I found alot of yes and no.

Just got a RF Punch 1000x1bd amp to run a P3d4-12 600rms

RF website specs showed amp puting out 500 rms at 2 ohms but birth certificate puts it at over 900 rms. " knew they underated there amps but thats almost double"

My question is will this be safe if I dont crank the head unit and having the gain set correctly?

Yes, you will be ok, as long as the gain is set properly. Also, no bass boost or 'loud' input from the head unit, and no bass boost on the amp.

That birth sheet is dynamic power at a high frequency. It's marketing, you will never see it.

Yes, you will be ok, as long as the gain is set properly. Also, no bass boost or 'loud' input from the head unit, and no bass boost on the amp.

People can use bass boost if they want and they're not clipping the signal. Also, loud feature is very useful and many people don't understand its use. It's used when you play the system at a lower volume and it boosts up frequencies that human ear is less sensitive to at those lower levels. Therefore, you can still get the full frequency response even at lower volumes. It can be turned off once volume is regained.
