well the new zr1 is not too far behind these cars in the 1/4 mile, just about a half a second, and the lingenfelter corvette is faster than both but its not in the same class.

i seen it at the auto ahow and it was the most beautiful thing i have ever seen

They are (were) the fastest "production" cars in the world.

ya remember the one with a flat 6 that did 250mph? yaa...

so lets see..the ssc with a bigger engine and 14 years of new technology did 2 mph better? WOW astounding..props to america.

as far as the 2 mph thing in 14 years, there is not much to improve on that can get you that much faster than the 250 range without major mods to the engine. and as far as the first super car thing, america hasnt been in the supercar race since the z06 came out, and started beating lambo's, ferraris, and porsches.

no this is a production car and 2600 will be made annually costing around 400-600,000$ depending whether you get the ultimate edition or not.
