My grandpa has a 1999 chevy 2500 ext cab 4wd, with a 6.0 in it all its done its whole life is pulled pulled and pulled just rolled over to 216,000miles, and he had the ****** rebuilt two weeks ago and thats it!!! My dads old plow truck had 330,000+ miles on that, it was a 1992 chevy light duty 3/4 ton with the 6bolt hubs, and a old 6.2L non turbo mechanical pump diesel, that ran like a top!

but to say it's more bang for the buck then the vette? it's nowhere near as civilized. in just about every highend sports car showdown, the one car everyone has always wanted to drive back was the vette. and that's compared to ferrari, porsche (IMO, closet thing to a vette on the planet as far as overall package), ford, dodge, whomever. to me, that says alot.

Ide take the bugati any day over that. No contest.. Here is a nice little link of 0-186 times. Notice how slow the z06 is compared to similar power cars.. To think, some zo6 lovers were trying to compare it to the ford gt.. No offense vett owners, I like vetts.

Ofcourse cars like the buggati, and the mclarenf1 own the list. As for the lingfelt corvette, the bugatti, and the henessey viper beat it pretty good. Apparently that car cant get off the line with all that torque. Even from a roll it got beat, but then again both the viper and the bugati have much more power.. All nice cars though.

Seen that vid, who is to say the driver doesnt ****? The fact remains that the gt is not comparible to the z06. The only thing that video shows is a gt driver, that cant shift, or a modded z06.. The times are pretty clear. The gt runs away badly from the z06 after the quartermile. case closed

I do not believe for one second that the GT outruns a CGT.

Let alone, they want to tell me a 600 HP Techart CABRIOLET outruns a 642 HP Techart GT2?

How do you figure that? Those cars go heads up for the most part. Im not shocked at all.. ive seen these times posted on a couple different sites... Maybe a few of the times are questionable, but it doesnt shock me at all the gt beat the Porsche to 186mph. Often cars are close in the quartermile, but going to 186 mph isnt the same.. At the end of the day, the driver is going to make the biggest difference.

The driver will make the big difference, but that difference is much less in a run to 186 versus a 1/4 mile run.

Unless the CGT driver was like "I'm not messing up my $400K car" and the GT owner was like "Shiiiiiiiiit I'll just buy another one if I break it".

As far as the Turbo Cab vs the GT2, the GT2 is lighter, more aerodynamic, and has more power.

The Turbo should get in off the launch thanks to AWD, but there's no way I'd imagine it'd work out that way.

Also, I do not believe a lot of things said on forums, especially car forums.

WAT? Veryon is ugly as shit. I give it props for it's performance, but it is seriously fugly.
