$500 new for the vfl 120.1 , not sure which is better , but i can tell you that the vfl line can take more abuse than a lot of other amps on the market ,including the aq amps .

What about this amp? It's only $312 shipped and says it does 2000 x1 rms @ 1 ohm

I'm thinking about going with a pair of American Bass XFL 15's ported. A clean 2000 rms+ is what I need. Think a pair of XFL 15's ported tuned at like 33hz with an AB 120.1 VFL would slam and sound good?

the okur amps are ok at best , but for 350 i can get you an amp that does 2200 rms , also i have the xfl 15s for 215 each shipped , car stereo giant ,isn't an authorized dealer for ab products , so no ab warranty , i am tho

the xfl subs will take much more than 1000 rms , the vfl 150.1 would be a better amp for a pair ,if you want them to slam hard

believe it or not I called db and they told me their amps don't do rated.... atleast not the a5, a7 is supposed to be better but that blew my mind atleast they were honest though!!! i got a vfl120.1 I may be willing to part with!!! pm me if interested...

The vfl amps are worth the money!Haven't heard anything bad on the AQ amps.I've never ran them though.

Any facts to back this up?

I've been running the original AQ3500's for 5+ years now. Everything from .5 daily to .25 for burps and short music demos. Have never had a single issue with any of them....

Only what I have seen in person and with testing They are both good amps. I guess the main thing for me would be warranty issues. While sq would just repair an amp under warranty. I get them replaced with a new one. Not repaired

AQ and AB come from the same buildhouse (S&I in Korea) and use the same board and mostly the same components. The differences are minimal. Get whichever has a better warranty/price.
