Shouldn't someone ty and nail them with false adveretising? I believe that Pioneer holds the world record with its TS-W5000SPL subs, and they had nine of them, and the record I believe was 173.3 dB. And no one driver will hit that much, unless they had the mic in the enclosure, and that is still ify, there aint enough surface area on 1 single 15 inch sub to hit 170 + dB. Article
There isn't enough surface area on a 15" sub to hit 170? Huh? Since when is speaker cone area the limiting factor in what SPL output is possible? FYI Nate Munson hit 169.7 with a single 10" DD9510, and over 170 with a 12" version. I think you need to adjust your cone area theory.

OK, but still, that is a hell of a lot of movement for a single driver, it takes great engineering to get sumthin like that, but I agree, condradicting one of my previous statements, that it is possible, I mean look, it HAS happpened. So anywayz, yea, great job AB!
