Am I Wiring My Amp Wrong?

The amp I'm using to power my subs is a UltraLinear ULZ1001 and it is mono. The amp is fine and so are the subs. I tested them by hooking up my Zune via RCA cables. The problem is only there when the amp/subs are hooked up to the cars stereo. The problem is that the subs are playing more than just the 60hz or less. I can hear vocals etc coming from them. I have the LPF turned all the way down. The second problem is that the subs still play music even after I have the volume on the factory headunit turned all the way down. I believe I must be spliced into the wrong wires. I am using a line out converter from David Navone. I was trying to see what opinions you guys had and if I spliced into a proper set of wires. Is it ok to splice into the Rear Deck Subwoofer +/- PINS 26/30?

I have a 2003 Cadillac Deville DTS with Bose, without the nav system. I believe this diagram is for me?
