Am I old or what? Cadence ZRS10 Question

Hell, last I checked Cadence had a good name around the forums. Now everywhere I look they're saying they are pieces of crap.

Opinions on the ZRS10? Any bench tests done to tell me the truth behind it all? Couldnt find one I've been looking. I've been looking to get in and buy one of the beat up ones that work well, see what I could do one way or another.

Let me know folks, what's the deal. Real 2500wrms with pretty good efficiency or what!

The only bad thing I've heard about them is their kind of big. I was looking at getting one of the Daytona amps a while back. I was talking to Jason who works for Cadence and he was going to get me one of the Daytona 1,000 watt @ 1ohm amps for $250 shipped which is a pretty good price.

I was actually told they would outperform the 2500D, especially this past years style that wasnt quite as strong as two years back IIRC.

Either way, I just wanted to know if anyone had gotten to bench one.

there a nice amp. i like how they came with a burp cable that showed the voltage..

we had 5 of them in our comp van all strapped down to 1 ohm. running 12 cadence 12'' solo strikers.

at a 45hz burp for 3 sec. it hit 156+ and would usually drop us down from 14.5v to 12.5.

the zrs10 where very efficent. i remember playing around with one on a 13v 80a ac-dc power convertor running 2 kove armagedon z's with no sweat....

we never had any problems with the amps. im sure we could have had higher db#'s if it we wernt competeing in MECA. with the surface area fuse rateing thing....

I read on termpro.com that they were tested to only do around 1500 watts. It only did 10 more watts then the PA3000DB

I read the link you're referring to. I'm hearing a lot of mixed reactions, I called my friend who sells Cadence and he said the ZRS10 is a pyle of shit, I'm better off trying to get the power out of the ZRS9 or to shoot for the Daytona series all together

IMO get the Daytona 2500. That is a very strong amp does rated power and about 100 watts more from the bench tests I have seen.

my opinion on this is that maybe that they dont do the 2500 watts that it claims but 1 you are getting a very efficient amp that will do 1500 watts for sure and its only 150 bucks i mean you cant complain about 150 for 1500+ watts and tehy are strapable. but all up to you.

Does anyone know about distortion on these amps? I want to run an Alpine X or 2 off of one of these and I'm really worried about getting 2000 watts at 1 ohm. I know at ~2500 watts there is ~10% distortion. Thanks
