Hrmm...take something that has fuel pumping through it and has electrical connections and hang it from the underside of your ride with wire ties. Not a good idea.

More than likely nothing would ever happen but what if those ties ever gave way and that fuel pump met the asphalt for a while. Something like that should be bolted to the frame/floorpan.

Yea it would be a nice explosion.

Only reason I said "depends" was because some MN12 owners swap engines and mount the oil filter in a remote place. Usually in the fenderwell.

As a domestic drag car owner and builder you were indeed correct when you called that horrid fuel filter/pump install "Getto"...Its definatly a poor example of a fuel system install and I would not even drive the car in that state as I would fear for my life .

If it were my car I would have a fuel cell and mount the pump and filter next to the cell which would be in the trunk area, out of sight and behind a firewall between my body and the trunk
