Am I going to lose my license?

Ok well Im having extremely bad luck. A few monthes back, I got a small speeding ticket (30 in a 20). The jude threw it out, and gave me the small driving "class". Well I just got a 40 in a 30 ticket, and for the same court date I have a nosie violation ticket...(which is a non moving violation so that doesnt matter). But heres my worry. I got into a small fender bender (my mirror clipped another cars mirror..didnt have my license on me and got a ticket for that which is also non-moving violation)..but I heard thats 4 points on your license for a wreck, and a speeding ticket that isnt thrown out is 4 points. Im also 17, so thats 8 point, which means Ill most likely be royally f'ed. What do you guys think?
Speeding violation points are dependant upon how far you went over a given limit. Here in NY, they go up as high as 11 points before your lisence is revoked. Again, state laws vary, but we're given 24 hours (if we don't have our lisence current with us) to present a valid NYS drivers lisence and/or registration. As far as the 'accident', that depends on numerous things. I'm only giving you a comparison from NYS. But I doubt 8-point would get your license revoked, unless you neglect to pay the fines. Insurance on the other hand.. You're going to have it a bit worse than others when you get it in your name for the first time.

Gallatin is the WORST place for cops, if ANYONE thinks there town is bad about cops, just ask Flip how Gallatin is. And I just got off the phone with a knowledgable person and they said since I didnt get a citation for the "wreck" I wont get any points off that. So im good guys //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

And the first speeding ticket I got was thrown out and insurance didnt even see/hear about it, and I may get lucky and not get any points or reported to insurance for this 2nd one.

They don't report it to your insurance.. It's YOUR job to tell them about it. Just don't get caught lying. 'Cause then, you will be screwed. And most people I do agree will speed from time to time.. But not 10 over in 20 MPH zones.. Highway driving is a bit different than 20 mph zones where children walk sidewalks.. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

Both speeding tickets are not me driving stupid. Im pretty sure everyone does 10 over, esp in a 20. And I was 15 ft from where the speed limit changed from 30 to 45 when I got the 40 mph ticket.
Actually no, i dont. I go 6 over max, but usually only 2-3 over.

If it was a 20, it was probably in a neighborhood. I never ever speed in neighborhoods.

In addition, if i am going to speed, i make sure its on the highway where i have great visibility and little traffic to contend with, i always pay attention to brake lights in the distance (following the rabbit) to see if there is a cop or another obstacle ahead.

It doesn't matter if the sign was 15 ft away. The speed limits and rules are there for a reason, and you DO have to respect them. As you very well know.

You had already been klinked by an officer before, you knew to be on your toes. Instead of learning a lesson, you went back to driving irresponsibly.

Hey, its happened to me, its happened to a lot of us. I wasn't always the best driver, but after a couple tickets and paying my own bills i sure learned my lesson. The difference was i never had any illusion as to who the responsibly lied with, i always accepted that it was me and my poor judgment that got me there. If you're going to take risks, at least take responsibility. It had nothing to do with luck, luck has kept you from getting killed or at least from getting busted when you were doing some much worse things.... and you know you have.

Letting your kid "walk" on 109 is worse than letting your kid drink booze.

The 30 in a 20 ticket was down a sidestreet that people usually run faster than that on, I just always happen to get caught..and my car draws a lot of negative attention from cops...maybe its a sign to get something that doesnt stick out.
