I wanna know if I am getting the most dbs I can from this set up.

2 12's L5

they are the 2005 loaded enclousers. so this means i have two boxes. (see avator)

the amp is rockford P800.2

the subs are prewired at 2 ohm.

i have each sub connected to a channel. one sub to the left channel and the other to the right.

they are facing rear.

It is loud already but I am just wondering can it go louder? is it wired good or should i wire it another way. any tips are apprciated. thanks

lol already did. had one facing forward and one back but ended up getting more bass in the cabin by having like in the avator, i also cut holes in the rear deck and removed some cushioning from the rear to allow more bass in the cabin. You have any ideas how many dbs it might hit if i tried?

Asking how many DB's you will hit is the easiest way to get people jumping up your *** //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

There are simply too many variable to determine what equipment will hit.

oh 4get that then..... just wondering if it is worthy of competition. dont wanna go and look like an @ss you know

Oh, you might want to try, instead of one sub to each channel, bridging the amp to 4 ohms. It should give them the same power, but the subs will be playing fully together instead of stereo. Really, subass doesnt have much stereo to it, but its worth a try. You *shouldnt* gain any SPL, but its a better way to wire the subs IMO.

I wouldn't worry about it too much. Most people I've encountered in this industry are extremely helpful as long as you are willing to learn. Now, if you are one of those people who goes around with the "my shit is the loudest ever" mentality, you will definately encounter those who are eager to put you in your place. Just keep in mind that everyone starts somewhere. If you are willing to learn, you can definately improve your score.

but @ 4 ohms the sub would only run @ 250rms. Bridging it would be sending 800 plus watts into the subs, it might blow them no?

my shit is th best........jk. yeah i got ya, hey dont they sell db meters you can buy. I think i once saw a guy had one mounted under his dash and he would ge constant readings.....that would be pretty kool

Those are not known to be the most accurate and a waste of money. A real meter that is used at comps is a little pricey.

maybe another p800.2

space would be an issue

im lucky right now i can get my kids stroller in the trunk

the L5 box is pretty huge dough, the 06 model is only like half of it now
