Am i getting ripped off (2)? Fixing My Monoblock Amplifier

We literally have a hand full of brands in Australia, like literally 10 if that.

We have legit; Sony, Pioneer, Hertz, Kenwood, Jvc, sometimes rockford fosgate, alpine. and thats about it. not joking.

I had to order everything in my car from interstate.

I honestly really like the quality of the MB Quart stuff. Their higher end stuff.

I thought about getting the MB Quart DA1 3000. The swiss and german products are so much better.

The good brands that we get here in australia like rockford and hertz, the prices are through the roof retarded!

What are the hifonics amps like?

I can get my hands of those pretty easily and they arent too bad priced.

however i was turned off them because they were owned by a ****** chain of companies/brands.

You can test the MOSFETs yourself by removing them from the board and using a dmm to test.

Replacing them isn't hard at all, just use a chisel end soldering iron to remove them without messing up the via.

To replace 20 FETs, your looking at about 100 or so depending on how many are the same model and if you can buy in bulk. You are better off going with something else in the long run... Buy a Soundqubed 2200, you can probably get one for 300ish shipped (I just got one for $280 shipped from Japan)

Its like $900 for a 800watt rms alpine monoblock here.

The amp was fine for a year so i have doubt it was anything to do with my wiring. i have a dual battery setup 140amp alternator. all 0 gauge oxygen free wiring. big 3 etc.

The hifonics brz series will put out its rated or near and is cheap even in australia.

SSA will ship to australia for 50-80$ usd extra. Your better off finding a drop shipper who you can send your paid items to and have them bring it to australia.

Aud has more value then usd so you would get it pretty cheap.

i dont mind the brutus but having trouble finding the 2400+ one, otherwise there is the zeus model is that the same??

Also a maxxsonics amp.

Basically the same as hifonics. Iirc discus was the last great model.

Nothing hifonics has in its current market is korean. BRZ was discontinued long time ago. I dont think i'll ever come back to hifonics power ever again especially with the new china brx/x14 models.
