Okay here it is..

Set up:

Stock alt, 100A alt,

stock batt

big 3 done etc. 0 gauge..

Amp: Rub 1600D

Sub: 2 ohm Fi SSD, + to + down to 1ohm, setting the amp at 1ohm also.

I want to put the amp down to 1000watts rms at 1ohm just because i prob can't get more out of my stock batt, maybe i'll more up to 1200 later down the road.

anyway i want to double check i'm doing it all right.

( my amp is on its way )

But is there something that sets it to 1ohm , 2ohm,4ohm or does it naturally do it? i don't see anything in the manual i downloaded online.

k so.

A. Set DDM to AC

B. Stick the + from the DDM in the + for the SPEAKERS on the amp and the - to the - of the speakers from the DDM

C. this is all done with the speakers unplugged and the HU with a CD ( i heard CD's are better than aux ) set to 50HZ or a 60HZ tone.

D. i should set the gain from 0 up to ~31.5 because ( 1 x 1000 )

E. so thats done on that gain once i get it to 31.5.

F. next gain, Subsonic Filter, goes from min: 10hz to max 40hz, i was told from a few different guides i read that i should set it to 10hz-5hz lower than the tune of my box, which it is tuned to 32hz, so i figured 25hz was a good number? ( How do i set it with the DDM )

^^QUESTION in F ^^^^^^

G. Low Pass Filter, 50hz-150hz, i have no idea how to set this / what it is

H. the input sensitivity, should i keep it at 1-2 or 2-8? ( what is this )

Thanks ahead for all of the help, new set up and new person to car audio so its difficult but im just making sure im not destroying my stuff!

set sub sonic lower, do not set it 5-10hz under tuning. I don't know who started that but it's wrong. You set it to right before your subs max out at. Mine is off.

what head unit?

and set low pass to right where your mids are highpassed at.

he's asking about the amp.

The amp will react automatically to the ohm load that is present.

Ohms are resistance, the lower the resistance the easier it is to make power, if the amp can handle the load.

I wired my sub + to + and - to - so its down to 1ohm, and I have a Pioneer Deh-p600UB head unit if that helps.

so im guessing subsonic i should keep all the way down ( off ) what about the lowpass? ( i don't even know what that is )

the 10hz below for subsonic is a good rule foe people who dont want to bloww their stuff up
if i have 10hz below or at 0 what would i see a difference in? and btw if i wanted to tune it to like 25hz on the subsonic how do i do so

if you tune to 25 hz set it to 20 subsonic. you wont see much of a difference really except the subs will preform better. subsonic keeps the low lows out that the sub cannot reproduce. and in ported boxes its needed to help keep the sub from unloading in an enclosure. (drop below tuning) ported boxes already have a cuttoff of their own for frequinceies but the subs keep trying to play them. thats where ssf come in. hope this jumbled explination helps. im plastered
