Am I asking too much?

So I bought this equipment new, less than three months ago, and they don't even have two months of use on them. I've decided to change my setup, so I figured I would sell these on Craigslist. I've had them on there for almost three weeks and haven't had any bites! I think I got them priced pretty decent, but I don't want to just give them away because they are "used" now. So what do you guys think?

Boston Acoustics GTA-400M mono amp (includes manual and high input wiring adapater) - $120

Boston Acoustics G310-44 sub (with sealed/carpeted box that is built to specs) - $140

Would probably lower the price on each by $10 if that meant to sell it, but I really don't wanna go any lower than that. Like I said, both are in like new condition not a scratch or anything. Thanks for your input.

For a single sub/amp setup that's a bit more than I would look to spend. Not flaming your equipment by any means, but in that price range for a used setup I wouldn't be interested. I'm also sure that most people would just overlook it, but just my opinion.

I figured that is what it meant! Just wanted to confirm. And no offense taken, I know this isn't top quality car audio. But I will say the sub exceeded my expectations, the amp I wasn't to high on and wish I would of gone a different route. Would of actually got the Alpine MRP-500 (although the price range I find them in is $100-$120), but figured I would give BA a try. Wouldn't of mattered anyways, because I am actually stepping down to a 8" sub and different amp. But would like to sell this stuff first before I switch. So what do you guys think a decent/average price would be? Not some crazy price you only find every once and a while.

Well in that case why not find a sub that will easily and sufficiently be driven by that amp so you don't have to get another? Boston is far from bad stuff and I would think that amp would easily drive a good 8" sub. Unless you just hate the thing, why get rid of it if you can/could use it?

I thought about Ebay, but usually by the time I pay there fees and Paypal fees, I'm better off selling it local. No doubt the amp would push the 8" sub, but just wanted to do something different, you know.

I wouldn't say the prices are TOO terrible... I mean, I can find much better amps for that price, but the people on craigslist are idiots most the time, so you might be ok. Just jazz up the listings with fancy things like Peak power and what not... maybe drop the price 10 bucks.

craigslist is full of cheapskates. a lot of times, you have to offer what amounts to is basically a steal, unless its a product that is in high demand by the general public, like an ipod or something. your items are not a bad deal, but like others have said, 'meh'. ebay has them for $158 shipped brand new. a used one, even in new condition, the price drops significantly, especially if its not a high demand item.

The key to selling items locally is to be patient. Ive had people call me about CL ads I posted 2 to 3 weeks prior. If you want/need to sell the item in a hurry, you have to get drastic on your pricing, and willingness to ship and/or accept paypal/ebay fees. I know you said its been 3 weeks rjay, Im not implying you aren't being patient. Just saying that in this economy, luxury items like car audio can be very difficult to sell for a fair price.

Good luck with your sales.

its because its not a common brand on CL, by me, its all kicker and alpine. i laugh, for they sell more than retail. so honestly.. make it sound appealing! persuade them that your equipment is the best...even though its not, try and get them to get hooked before your leave a price. then through it all up for 220 obo.

I'm definitely not in a hurry to sell them. I've sold alot of stuff on CL and I usually have it sold within a month. I just can't believe I haven't had much interest shown. I've had one guy offer $200 for all of it within the first week, but I just couldn't do that. I appreciate your guys input.
