Am I able to swap head units using the same wiring harness?

My vehicle has an Alpine CDE-9852 that was installed most likely in 2004 or '05 and it had a cable for iPod support. Unfortunately, the ol' iPod has died, and being that I listen to my music on my phone, and the Alpine I have does not support AUX, I'm thinking about just replacing the head unit that has both Bluetooth and an AUX input. Do all Alpine head units have the same wiring harness and am I able to swap the old Alpine out with a newer model and keep the speaker setup as is?
