I'm also interested in the C.A.P...Was looking to buy a 15 farad model. Will be running a JBL 1200.1 to an Adire Audio Brahma 12" in a 98 honda prelude...think I need it?

I dont know if u need it or not. I know I need one, with the engine on and im driving on the freeway and if the stereo is up the volts drop down to like 12 volts teh alternator is not charging fast enough, the lights dim like crazy etc...

Caps actually put more strain on your already struggling alternator. Your alternator needs to supply everything with power and a cap just adds more it needs to supply. You should upgrade the alternator before getting a cap. If you hit a long bass note and your lights are dim thru the whole thing, you need a new alternator or need to have yours rewound for more power. If the lights go back to normal before the note is over, then the alternator just can't keep up with that initial jolt of power, that's when you need a cap.

Think 1 or 2 would carry that 1200.1 easily
