The Mean Green Alternator's tool steel rotorshaft is supported at both ends by heavy duty double sealed bearings. Even the heavy duty solid copper starter windings are sealed with high temperature insulation. That's one reason we include a 1 year Warranty at no charge on every alternator.

- From their website.

Are you sure you got a 3 year warranty with that?

Yeah, I am. I bought mine almost two years ago, and I'm still covered. The pulley on mine was mis-aligned by a few millimeters at first...had problem with shredding belts a little over a year after I bought it. Called them up, they sent me a new pulley free of charge. Didn't fully solve the problem, so they sent me a brand new alternator...pulley aligned perfectly free of charge //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

anyone else got any long term reviews?
well I had a boss alternator(alterstart.com i think) 150amp upgraded from 70 i think (accord 2000 4 cyl). It went out after about 4 months with 800 watts rms, but died due to high reving. This thing provides really low power under 1000 motor rpm, is that peculiar or what? anyways I never ran enough power to notice a diff. but it's deff waker than honda alt under one thousand rpm and not nearly as reliable. The guys fixed it though and I get a lifetime warranty so I'll keep on sending it back if it craps out again. Hopefully this will hold the mighty orion 2500d.

i've got a 200 amp excessive amperage small case. it works fine if im driving, occasionally will drop under 13 volts but not often. however when i stop, it drops to around 12. my car idles at about 700 rpm. seems like it starts charging around 800 or 850 and will be 13.5-14 at 1200 or so. it kind of pisses me off and im thinking of selling it and getting something else, since everyone i've heard that had this problem with nathan's alternators hasnt been able to get it fixed. i bought it in the group buy, and have heard that he sent some of the work out since he was so swamped with that buy. probably will have to swap it out before i get my new amps, im pretty sure im going to get a 150x2 memphis amp for my components and an orion 2500d or something equally massive for my 12's.

225 for a 200A from mr alt here. getting it in 5 days.
wow thats a good price excessice told me 330 for a 200a for my dakota cuz he would have to custom build it, but im probly gonna get a 160a alt form motor city reman for under 200

I got an Excessive Amperage alt for my toyota, and he sent me a sheet stating that they only turn on at around 800 rpms. I'm thinking about just putting a smaller pulley on the alt.
