might be hard with a crx but i'd email the places you found online and ask them specifically about your car and an alt. i know ohio gen and probably mean green or whatever they're called could make one.

 
Depending upon your needs, there are other makes that may work with your vehicle. If you can use a self-exciting regulator (referred to as a 1-wire), then you should be able to use virtually any alt you can make fit. We used to sell the Delco 10SI I believe in place of the factory Denso unit on some customer cars. SOme popped right in place.
