Alternator

Where can I find an High Output alternator for a decent price online, I've looked everywhere and the only one I can find is a replacement 60amp alt. I have a 1988 Honda Crx. Any suggestions would be great Thanks.

might be hard with a crx but i'd email the places you found online and ask them specifically about your car and an alt. i know ohio gen and probably mean green or whatever they're called could make one.

Thanks, man paying for a custom built alt is going to be expensive. But, maybe thats the only route I can take at this point.

Depending upon your needs, there are other makes that may work with your vehicle. If you can use a self-exciting regulator (referred to as a 1-wire), then you should be able to use virtually any alt you can make fit. We used to sell the Delco 10SI I believe in place of the factory Denso unit on some customer cars. SOme popped right in place.

Do you know which makes that could fit my car? I want one that fits the factory bracket. I don't really want to fabricate a custum bracket.

Like I said, we used to fit some with Delco 10SIs. I couldn't tell you offhand which exact one and cannot guarantee fitment.
