Alternator

It'll probably be cheaper...but I'd just look into getting a new one alltogether.

Not so sure if they still have it, but Irragi alternators is/was running a group buy, 30% off

well here my prob im running 1500 watt rms on a stock system so could i just add a second alt to the AC compressor instead of just using one alt

its P=IV where P is in watts and V is the voltage. So if you have 1400 watts you divide it by 14.4 to get the current in Amps. 1400/ 14.4 is 97.777 amps. That is if the Amps are 100% efficent. Also about 40% if the alts power will be to run the car so take that into considerration. So around 140-170 would be one for that size stereo.

40% of the STOCK alternator's power*

like if you have a 100amp stock alt, about 40amps will go to car's electrical

if you upgrade to 200amp stock alt, still about 40amps will go to car's electrical
