Alternator whine frustration.

Could it be the Alt going? How old is that thing?

if you have access to another deck try that. my sub popped when i changed songs and when i went from 0-1 on the HU. it turns out it was my decks rca inputs so i had to get a new deck.

I assume the alternator is the orginal so it would be around 14 years old so that may be it, but that woulden't cause the popping and clicking with the alternator disconected. Yes, I do have access to another deck and I hope that my deck is not broken. I payed alot for it and it is only 1-2 months old.

****, well mine was one of the lower classes of the alpine decks. i think i messed up the rca inputs/outputs inside the deck cause i unplugged my rcas to the amp w/o dissconnecting the amps ground or power cables

hmm, is there a way of testing the RCA inputs/outputs on the deck using a DMM?

I have decided that clipping doesn't kill half as much as ground loops do.

Ground loop came to my house and disrespected my family.
