Alternator voltage booster?

i have the gear in my sig, my voltage at rest is about 14.3-14.9 in car, if i were to add this

would that be too much voltage? it would be the stage one .6 volts added, and my brutus amps, there rated up to 16v right? so how close to 16v can you acaully get?

and in a 12v car whats the highest voltage you can run without damaging any stock eletrical? cause im at 14.8-14.9 at idle right now if i go any higher will i damage my stock components?

about 15.5 is right on the line i wouldn't go above 15.2

I wouldnt go over 15volts it may fry the cpu or the check engine light will come on

you may not have an accurate reading of what its putting out to start with. Have you tested with more than one DMM ?

ya no worries for me, hhr has ERU system (i dont really like) but it automatically (and safely) goes up to 16v.

ive tested it at alt, front batt and rear batt with a dmm and a digital panel voltage meter and there somwhat close together, i dont get it though, some days, it will be right up at 14.8-14.9 and other days it will 14.2-14.4, but im getting a fluke meter in a few weeks so i will be able to test it thoughly then

All this plug in is doing is chaning the value of what the internal voltage regulator (meaning a really big transistor, or two diodes) is regulating the voltage of the alternator at.

Why bother with it? A .6V gain is only going to give you another ~50 watts.

i think thats worth it, i want to get the most out of my amps, i know i wont hear a difference, but when i look at my voltage meter, il feel all warm inside knowing my voltage doesnt drop below like 14.4 that would be great for me but im hearing alot of bad things about going over 15v so i mite get it and try it out and if it messes up my stuff il return it, running my hifonics amps at mid to high 14s wont blow them will it?

you won't feel so warm inside if you torch a computer, or any number of things that would cost hundreds to replace/repair.

it's a pointless risk IMO.
