Is your gain set right? A clipped amp will pull way more current than a clean amp. I have a feeling you are overdriving it.

That's probably the issue because I'm not familiar with how to set all those knobs on my amp I have a hifonics brx 1200. Any advice ?

find out which one is the gain and turn it all the way down is a good start.

Gain about 3/4 way up. LPF at 80hz, subsonic filter at like 25hz,bass boost all the way OFF, for ur amp settings

You came up with this how? If he has 2v preouts that's heavy clipping. if he has a prefab ported 25hz will destroy his subs.

That should put him in a better place if he has no clue how to set up an amp.and if he had 5v pre outs that would prly be heavy clipping, if he had 2v that would be great. Also I have a ported pre fab in my wife's car on 2 pioneer spl3004 12s and they play down to 20hz and my subs arnt destroyed. Got them on about 1600watt

On most amps 2v is right at half gain. I would like to see those playing 20hz.

I beg to differ. All my set ups I've had 5v HU and it clips 34 out of 35 and I only turn it up to 30 so it clean and my gain on my amp is set just a hair under half. Also all my other friends cars gain is about half and they have 5v preout... They set there **** with DD-1. I used a my buddy's scope to set mine though. I'll take a video Of my wife's car hammering 20hz in a pre fab prly tuned to 40hz lol. Surprised me too these pioneers get down.

They must be 9v amps which is uncommon. Or the HU is overrated. Or they are using the -15 track which is dirty as hell. It just don't work that way. You always seem to bend reality.. Tahoes don't get loud.. A 53 with 4 big *** 18s.... You live on a whole new level of fail.

I talked to Ray one of the loudest non wall tahoes does 58s no wall and has 5v preouts and his amps are at half gain. I think u don't know what ur talking about. U just try to pick fights. Tahoes have huge air space so they are harder to get loud in then smaller vehicles. Also I have 4 tiny 2.5 coil 18s so if I do a 153 with them is that better?

I know what I'm talking about. I don't talk unless I do. My true 5v outs on all my amps was at 1/4 clean

Level, Phase, Bass Eq, Sub sonic, and Low pass .

which one is Gain? And how do I set the Phase?

Level is gain. I'd put it about 3/4 way up and phase keep at 0, bass eq is bass boost prly so keep at 0, sub sonic most ppl put 5hz below tuning but just try n set It around 25hz. And the LPF set at 80hz

Ended up getting a Singer! Nothing beats the lifetime warranty ..450 for 240amps

I have a 2v preout headunit. At half I get no bass at all. Up until around 3/4 is where i run mine. in between 2 and 3 oclock.
