I have a 2v preout headunit. At half I get no bass at all. Up until around 3/4 is where i run mine. in between 2 and 3 oclock.

That's 2v not 5v

Irrelevant now.. Do your big 3 make sure you have a good starter battery if you can go to Harbor freight and get a DMM set your gain correctly go from there.

There is a method to set your gains with a DMM. Do some searching around here and you'll find plenty of tutorials. Not the most accurate way to do it but it's better than nothing. Plus a DMM is a good thing to have around in this hobby.

Couldn't agree more. A good starter battery and a proper big 3 will make a worlds difference.

Okay thanks I'll definitely look into getting a dmm ..and I already got an optima yellow top

Singer is the filet mignon of alts. A little more expensive than mechman but worth it if you can afford it if not mechman will be fine. Look up mylows10 in the electrical for sale section he can hook you up with all the big 3 parts he's a vendor and a great guy.

They might be the fillet mignons but mechman is still quality kansas city strip while Dc power alts are the kobe beef tenderloins.
