Liquid Fire...
First of all, it's been so hard for me to find a alt for my car for a good price. Now Here's the problem I have, my stock alternator puts out 80amps at 2k rpm probably 30-40ish at idle. My sistem in my sig draws at least a good 100amps with volume at half, so I'm looking to upgrade my alternator. I have a limited budget of around $450. There is a local alternator store that say they can built an alternator for my car that puts out 140amps at around 2-3krpm 70-80amp at idle. They will be charging me $200 for this.
or
I can order an alternator from HO Alternators that puts out 175amps at 2-3k rpm and around 90 at idle. But that cost's $425.
Would it be worth it to spend the extra $225 for the 35 amps output and keep my current battery (Interstate MT-34R 700CCA, not sure on aH) or should I get the 140amps alt and also pick up a Kinetik HC1800(and it does fit under my hood //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif)?
