alternator queston, opinions needed

How are these prices for alternators for my car? Right now I have probably a 60 amp stock alternator in my car and with my 1400 watts with a 1 farad capcaitor my lighrs dim, so would this be worth it for me? These are the ONLY alternators i have found for my car, any opinons?

Yeah excessive gave me a price of $309 shipped for a 225amp.

then your best bet is too go with the ones you listed. i heard irragi makes good alts.

Yup, do it! A cap is useless...just a band-aid for a weak electrical system. Do the new Alternator, Big-3 upgrade, and you should be set not problem.

Another concern of mine is over amperage. I believe the stock alternator is 60 amp and the lowest listed is 180, will I be blowing fuzes left and right?

No, that's not how the charging system works. You'll be perfectly fine, it's voltage you have to worry about...(which will be no problem since you're new alt wil also be running @ 13.8-14.4 like the stock).

What one would work well with 1400 watts? I believe that amps for that is 1400/12 volts =116.67 plus everything is power so thats another 50-60 amops

WHat is the amperage of the amp? You can check by fuse rating. I would reccomend that as kind of a guide.

I have one amp that is 1000 watts connected to a farad capcaitor and a 250 watt amp for my spearkers. Thats why I said 14000 watts to be safe so 1400/12=116.67amps
