alternator question

Im in a new 2013 civic si, been looking all over and cant find anything. They said they could upgrade to 200, 250, or 300 amps, but im not sure to believe that or not.

Singer couldn't do anything for you?My alt is hard to find also(04 Suzuki xl-7)But Singer has it under control.ONLY guy willing to take the time and help.

Well being my car is so new I don't think anyone has had the time to produce anything for it yet. Also my cars alternator is controlled by the cars computer and doesn't have a normal or regular voltage regulator on it so its different/new technology. Im sure if I give it more time some options might open up, but for now I think its a waiting game.

I was having trouble finding a good alternator for my 2004 Mitsubishi Lancer. All I could find was crappy ebay rebuilds until I talked to Singer. He is building me a 210 amp one right now.
What does he take a case from a stock unit and build it up with high quality parts?

Your going to have to ask him that question. All I can tell you is everyone that's bought a alternator from him are very happy with the quality and the lifetime warranty.

i'm the singer rep here , some cases its just a stock alt case with an upgraded stator and internals ,in other cases its a whole different alt.you car has the esm system ,i believe ,which means the alt kicks on only when needed when not needed it runs at a lower voltage ,you can by pass it tho ,with a external reg, but it may make the check engine light come on.,but being its a new car you wont have to worry abut the light or smog for 6 years .but just plug the stock alt back in and your good to go when you need t smog.

So I might get a CEL which means I wouldn't pass inspection without swapping the old alternator back in. Thats a big pain in the rear but then again I may not get a light. You said in order to bypass it you have to run an external regulator, is this an easy process?
