Alternator Question...

Ok I just want to double check things before I shell out 400 dollars for a new HO alt. Currently I have a 105 amp alt on a 04 silverado. I went to autozone to get it checked today because I am having insane voltage drops (Voltage is dropping so low that the orion 1200D will cut off and then back on ~roughly drops to 10 or so Volts). Autozone tested it and it came back 43.6 amps, I dont know what RPM its at though but I did have the truck Ideling and at 2k RPM durring the test. This does mean that I need a new alt now right. If so looks like its going to be a 220 from mean Green //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif

Thanks.

Yah thats more practical/NOT COMPLETLY INSANE lol, yah your amps gonna die, where yah gonna get your new one from???

If it was 43 volts i bet your battery would've exploded that would've been hilarious, well not for you...
