installing in dash lcd

hey just have a quick question- i am installing and in dash flip up lcd in my 2000 chevy impala. now if anyone if familiar with the impala's dash, if i had a flip up monitor that was installed in a normal dash kit then when the screen opened up it would hit my dash- i need to move the unit like 2 inches forward with the dash kit. anyone have any ideas on what i can try??? if you have any pics of examples that'd be cool too

Metra makes several kits for various car installations and maybe you could find one on eBay or Best Buy. I picked mine up at Best Buy. I just went back to the car stereo install dept. and talked with the guys there. He sold me just what i needed and it was only around $18 for the whole kit. I had to recess mine in the dash a little so it would't hit my shifter.
