alternator problems? idk whats going on

so i went to go pick up my sundowns and i ended up getting a rf t1500-1bd. so just to test it we put in my old slot were i had my jl 500 amp with 8 gauge stinger wire. i put the 60 amp fuse i had on it and was bumping it when i get home but on the way home i noticed that my instrumental panel was a little dimmer than usual but not pulsing or head lights dimming. when i was at the store i head the amp skip like turn off and on it a sec so i check wires i think the remote was loose a sec i didnt hook it up this audio guy did. when i was leaving the store my rpm gauge was down to zero all the way off and my speedometer was fine, when i got home i unplugged the amp and then shut my lights off and then my rpm went back to normal but then when i turned my lights back on it went back to zero. turned it to the middle settings where just my instrumental lights were on still good but when i turned my headlights on went back down. what do you think. just put the alt in a few months ago. i thought maybe my front battery was dying a couple weeks ago but i still have a 650 regular battery in the back hooked up to so idk if that was just keeping it alive. i just picked up a stinger spv70 today i was going to hook up tomorrow or when i can and then hook the rf with the right gauge wires and also the big three. **** wtf to do

 
yeah i was afraid of that. i guess i should have had better batterys in there then the two acid car bats. i just picked up a car audio bat today, **** a day to late. other input would be nice but last time my alt went both my gauges were messed up not just the rpm

 
so my car was dead this morning. i unhooked my 4 gauge in the front that connects my rear battery and did a hard reset on my car and jumped it was it was good to go from there. no gauge problems, im guessing i shorted out that dinky 8 gauge wire on that rf lol i had my sub at negitive 20 and i thought since it didnt blow the 60 amp fuse it would have been fine since that jl 500 didnt do anything to the wire. well i will be taking out the wire this weekend and putting new wire for the rf, putting new stinger bat in the back, doing big three. i should be bumping by then. **** i heard thoses sundowns sas on little power and i was amazed. i cant wait till this weekend when i can hear them on some real power

 
Most auto parts stores do free alt tests. I get mine tested about once a week or so. I am running two batteries, the stock battery in the front and a huge North star battery in the trunk so I just like to make sure my alt is keeping up until I get time/money to put a Excessive Amperage alt on.

 
na its all good the 8 gauge i had to it when i had my 500/1 jl on it i was driving home and didnt have it on at all. i shorted it out and just took it out and got a stinger spv70 in the back and just got four gauge to the rest and its all good. alts fine i thought i closed this

 
today i had no problems what so ever and now i went to the store to get some beer just now and its dark now. i only have a 100 amp fuse on the line i should have 200 but it should be here this week. so i have it down enough were im not blowing the fuse and my amp doesnt get hot. i drove and when heavier bass my amp shuts off and on real quick a couple times . i turn my bass know down and it comes back on. i have four gauge like it says, believe me i tryed to do the 1/0 gauge didnt fit at all. my lights are not dimming what so ever and i got that spv70 in the trunk. still have not gotten to do the big three since theres no one local that has 1/0 terminal rings which i would have thought they would have, so i gotta wait on that now. is my voltage just not up and thats why it keeps turning off and on? i barley have it on to what it can do or should do daily. like i said i had it hitting harder during the day with my lights off and not a single problem but tonight this has happened with my lights on again no dimming

 
Id run to an auto store and get every thing tested. They can test the alt and battery right there. By me they have a Pep Boys, Napa, and Advanced Auto Parts all off the same drive so I stop into each one just to get a second and third opinion.

 
it only did this at night today everything was fine with the new wires new battery just at night it did this. i thought maybe with my lights on and only a 70 amp alt on there and no big three its not getting enough volts to the amp and it was only doing that on big low notes nothing esle. during the day i was pounding and it had no problem taking it.

 
also i do have a newer alt installed and its a 130 amp but i guess with out bypassing the e.l.d its only doing 70 amps and im trying to find a way to bypass someone sent me a site on how to do it but i think the site he gave me was wrong bc it didnt say anything about it

 
so i got in my car today and tryed out the system and now without my lights it was turning the amp on and off again my wires are installed correct. i unplugged my bass knob that i got brand new local the peq like i am suppose to use and then it doesnt turn off and i bumped it harder for longer and still didnt turn off.... anybody esle ever have that were the bass knob makes it turn on and off plugged in. its not a gain its a bass knob for bass. i even turned my lights on and still didnt turn on and off like last night

 
na i only have it half way and im not even blowing my 100 fuse and i should have the 200. im waiting for it to come in lights dont dim what so ever. i just went to the store and i was driving for about half an hour with nothing going off or dimming and i was pounding. its just when i have that bass knob for some reason weird
